I recently entered the US using AP, basically she would be abandoning her F1 as soon as she enters using her AP. Her status changes from International Student to Pending Immigrant (or something similar). BTW carry at least two original copies of AP. Even if she plans to work on EAD at school or later after graduation, it just makes sense to enter using her AP (think..).

If I were you, I would look for opportunities that fall in line with your GC labor. System Analyst and Project Manager don't really go well together, leave alone the SOC codes. Your PD also seems to be quite close (relatively speaking).
If anything try to negotiate your external title with your prospective employer.

Next thing....H1 program only once in 3 years or only when "needed".....

TOTALLY unknown...
No one knows what they look at and won't look at while deciding on your I485. If you one of the "chosen" one, you may get called for personal interview and I have heard lots of horror stories about the stuff they asked at the interview. At the same most of the people get the GC without hitch.
So, the morale of the story is stop worrying. There is nothing you can do/prepare to effect decision on your I-485. Since you have played by book and assuming you don't have any law related issues, you should be fine.

Literally this means that by now they have processed only those applications, for which priority dates are current and they had been filed before April 2007. But they are outright lying! I personally know a EB3 guy who filed 140 premium and 485 in May 2007 and got GC before the July fiasco.
Who beleives that since the last June frenzie (66000 approvals in one month so that they "have used" all the quota for 2007) and 7 months after that they didn't process anything beyond April? I don't!
You see, it means the haven't been processing any applications since at least June 2007! :mad:

...if ppl were sitting back and relaxing after seeing the first report on the USCIS website regarding the 485 numbers. But at least the starter of this thread is an exception to that.If the USCIS dozn't update that doc monthly just like they do with the visa bulletin then something is really fishy and they'd end up fooling us again like they always do.
BUT THIS TIME WE MUST FIGHT THIS. I really feel that we have a valid reason to.Count me in...I'm not sure how v shud start (class action lawsuit)...IV moderators any ideas/plans to ask for updated reports if the USCIS fails to provide the public with this info???

Please let me know if anyone/your friend has port PD using receipt#. Logically it should be possible, as USCIS should pull everything from DB using receipt#. The question is has anyone successfully done this?

Because there is little certainity about the Green card many people hesitating to buy houses. There is good chance that the housing market will definitly improve if the Green card waiting period decreases.

Even if tomorrow DOL will process all its backlog of 180K applications and INS issue pending however-many-GC applications pending (I believe I heard a # of 500K including those 180K they are expecting to get from the DOL) it won't affect the housing market a bit.

The very first time I went in formals (for my F1 visa). After that I've been to the consulate seven times, and its always been in jeans and t shirt. Next time I'm thinking of going Tarzan style. It will save me the security hassle and will serve as a good respite from the Chennai heat.

Why you are so angry??. I know more than you about immigration and all the rules. you try to understand the English properly and the meaning. I hope you are from a very remote place in India. So for you to understand better, Here is the meanign fo my message.
GUYS, YOUR PRIORITY DATE IS 2006 and why you are asking for the premium processing when many of your friends are still waiting to file their I 140 or I 485.
Don't try to put harsh words in public forums. You will get them back as a Boomerang...... Understand?:mad:
