hi,
I came to US 5 years back in H4. My husband processed GC and 140 is cleared and 485 pending. I got my EAD and now working. My husband and I have problems and he is threatening to ruin my life.
Can I know a few things
1. Can he take me out of the GC ?
2. Can he revoke my EAD ?
3. Can my employee extend my EAD which is expiring in 2010 and continue my GC.
please help...
Your husband can remove from the GC process if he wants. And you will lose your EAD and you can not extend your EAD. One way is file for new H1B, get the job and start the GC process from PERM. There is no other way.

Sounds ludacris to me. Here is what I would do if I were you
(1) Talk to your lawyer and see what he says. If your attorney wants to follow up with this officer and ask him why he needs everything from 1999, he might give a better answer.
(2) Get a letter from the IRS saying that they do not have copies of the old returns.
I myself don't have returns before 2003.

I dont see how they can ascertain whether case is complicated without opening it and doing some analysis. It would be only possible if they just hang a case in between after they open it or else one way is by weight (joking).
They might have a weighing scale and lesser weight of the application simpler it is (HAHAHA)
we can only guess
i would assume cases that are not substitute labor, porting priotity date, cross chargeability, clear birth certificates, clear employer verification letter, no namecheck issues, no fingerprinting issues, etc

how can one get copy of i140? does it not belong to the company?
You can always ask for a copy of the approval after the I-140 is approved. Depends on how cooperative your HR and lawyer are.

upgraded on June25 to PP got status changed on 30th. Received approval notice by attorney on July 6th
Was this at TSC, mine is at NSC. My First I140 was approved, My company refiled after acquisition (successor in interest) and later upgraded to Premium

its not mandatory to work while on EAD but did you do a job on EAD at any point of time to get out of H1 status?
How long can one stay unemployed on EAD? my pd is Nov2005 EB-2
I got laid-off on Monday I was on H1-b. The employer has notified USICS to withdraw the H1-B. But will not be revoking any GC related stuff. Was on H1-b Laid off 485 pending 180days+ have EAD :(

Another follow-up question.. I'm planning to file for EAD, which passport number should I use in this form ?
If I use new one(which is valid), isn't it in contra with AOS application?
Has anyone faced this situation ?
I used my new passport number and never had any issues. In fact, I also had filed for an H1b extension with the new passport. so, Dont worry

I am in similar situation but the only difference is I applied for 485 after graduating and currently working on EAD, can I visit India and come back on AP with no isses? and BTW what did ur attorney say exactly? appreciate ur help.

I have ALWAYS gone in T-shirt and Jeans and never had a problem. They dont really care about your appearance, although it is a good idea to dress decently.Go in a Halloween costume. Am just kidding, any decent looking dress would be fine..
